As the forefront of China's reform and opening up, South China is not only a core demonstration zone for the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing, but also has built a complete industrial ecosystem in high-end equipment fields such as new energy vehicles. According to the latest industry data, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area accounts for a quarter of the country's total new energy vehicle production. The region is home to a number of leading vehicle manufacturers such as BYD, GAC Aion, and XPeng Motors, as well as a complete industrial chain encompassing everything from electric drive systems to key components for intelligent connected vehicles. Meanwhile, leading gearbox manufacturers like SEW are also continuously expanding their presence in South China, further enriching the region's industrial structure. SW's decision to locate its South China office in Shunde, Foshan, known as the "heartland of China's manufacturing industry," reflects its strategic location advantage, enabling it to respond more swiftly to customers' diverse needs in areas such as technological iteration, capacity expansion, and overseas expansion.
